Vietnam

Hanoi to Saigon — coastal golf, extraordinary history and the most memorable food in Southeast Asia. The destination that changes how people think about travel.

Vietnam gets under your skin in a way that very few destinations manage.

We have been travelling to Vietnam since the late 1990s — watching Hanoi's Old Quarter evolve, following the central coast as it became one of Asia's finest golf destinations, eating our way through Hoi An long before it appeared on every best-restaurants list. Vietnam rewards curiosity more than almost anywhere on earth: the country stretches 1,650 kilometres from north to south, and every region has its own culture, cuisine and character. Getting it right requires knowing which parts of Vietnam to visit when, and in what order — and we have spent thirty years working it out.

Where We Send You

Ha Long Bay, Vietnam
— North Vietnam —

Hanoi & Ha Long Bay

The Old Quarter's streets, the Temple of Literature, and a junk cruise through Ha Long's 1,600 limestone islands.

Hoi An, Vietnam
— Central Vietnam —

Hoi An & Da Nang

The ancient trading port, championship golf courses, and the Hai Van Pass — the most beautiful stretch of coast in Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
— South Vietnam —

Saigon & The Delta

The energy of Ho Chi Minh City, the Mekong Delta's waterways, and the coastal course at Phan Thiet.

Sapa, Vietnam
— North Vietnam —

Sapa & The Highlands

Rice terraces, mountain villages and a side of Vietnam that most itineraries skip entirely. Worth every hour of travel.

— Golf in Vietnam —

The central coast has become one of Asia's great golf destinations.

Da Nang and the surrounding coastline now hosts several world-class courses — BRG Da Nang, Hoiana Shores, Ba Na Hills — in a setting where the South China Sea is never far from the fairway. We have played them all, and we know how to build a golf trip around Vietnam that earns every green fee.

— What We Arrange —

Vietnam done properly.

The difference between a good Vietnam trip and a great one is almost always the detail — the right junk boat on Ha Long Bay rather than the overcrowded option, the private cooking class with a Hoi An family rather than the tourist programme, the cycle through the rice fields at dawn before the tour groups arrive.

We arrange all of this through genuine relationships on the ground — built over decades, not through a booking platform.

  • Private luxury junk cruises on Ha Long and Lan Ha Bay
  • Hoi An lantern-making, cooking and tailoring experiences
  • Motorbike tours of the Hai Van Pass and My Son
  • Mekong Delta boat tours and overnight stays
  • Sapa trekking with local Hmong guides
  • Private Hanoi street food tours — Old Quarter and beyond
  • The Cham Tour — our signature coastal Vietnam journey

When to Go

Vietnam's length means weather varies dramatically by region. We always advise on timing based on which part of the country you're visiting — the below is a general guide.

Best for the central coast

February — August

Dry and warm along the Da Nang coast — peak golf season. Hoi An is at its most photogenic in the early months before the summer heat arrives.

Best for the north

October — April

Hanoi and Ha Long Bay are best in autumn and spring. Ha Long is year-round but November to March offers the clearest conditions.

Best for the south

December — April

Saigon and the Mekong Delta in dry season. Hot, but manageable — and the Delta is extraordinary when the water levels are high.
