The Trip

A capital most golfers skip, and a course that will change their mind.

Phnom Penh is not on the Asian golf circuit, and that is precisely why we send people there. Vattanac Golf Resort is Sir Nick Faldo's 36-hole design and top class by any standard — a course that would be talked about constantly if it were an hour from Bangkok. Here you will have it almost to yourself.

Three rounds across Vattanac, Chhun On and Cambodia Golf & Country Club — the last of these thirty-odd kilometres west of the city, so a proper day out. With a capital that has changed beyond recognition in twenty years — a serious food scene, the riverfront, and a history that deserves a proper day rather than a photograph.

Green fees, caddies and private transfers all handled.

The Week

A suggested shape — every day flexes to your group, your handicaps and your pace. Nothing here is fixed in stone.

Day1

Arrival

Private transfer from Phnom Penh International to your hotel. Evening at leisure — the riverfront, or dinner somewhere quiet.

Day2

Vattanac Golf Resort — West Course Round 1

Sir Nick Faldo's 36-hole design, and the reason to come. The West Course was named Cambodia's best at the 2022 and 2023 World Golf Awards. Immaculate, Troon-managed, and almost empty — one of the genuine secrets of Asian golf.

Day3

At leisure

The Royal Palace, the National Museum, and the Tuol Sleng memorial — which we would encourage you to give a proper morning, with a guide who knows how to tell it.

Day4

Chhun On Golf Resort Round 2

A Brian Curley layout — Schmidt-Curley, the firm behind Chiang Mai Highlands and Blue Canyon. North of the city, quiet and well kept.

Day5

At leisure

The markets, the riverfront, or a day out to the countryside. Phnom Penh is small enough to feel by the end of a week.

Day6

Cambodia Golf & Country Club Round 3

The established club out towards Kampong Speu — a relaxed finish to the week's golf.

Day7

At leisure

A final day in the capital, or an early flight north to Siem Reap for the temples — ask us.

Day8

Departure

Private transfer to Phnom Penh International in good time for your flight.

Other Cambodia Trips

Cambodia is the quietest golf in Southeast Asia — and the most surprising. Thailand and Vietnam are both an hour's flight away.
